I have watched, followed, and punted on National Hunt racing since by teens (I won’t reveal my age, but I remember Mr Frisk winning the National!). I am a regular at my local course Aintree (I can see the top of the Queen Mother stand from my bedroom window in Maghull) & have been involved in owning horses personally and via syndicates for close to a decade now – I’ve been involved in horses with likes of Laura Morgan, Nigel & Willy Twiston-Davies, Fergal O’Brien, the lads in Cheshire G&G, and Donald McCain to name but a few. I also advise private client clients on pedigrees for purchases. I also now race plan for a prominent northern NH trainer.
The National Hunt service is a monthly member's service which includes personal selections. These selections always come with full reasoning & full write ups based on form, replays, stats & breeding. The write ups also include articles, trends, stats, and weekly reviews of National Hunt horses (a weekly tracker service which is called “the week that was”). The weekly tracker is a notebook of those horses who I feel are eye catchers, well handicaped &/or those horses (novices) who now have a handicap mark that they can exploit, &/or expected to win next time out or in next few runs.
I specialise & focus on handicaps & novice chasers (mainly chases but also handicap hurdles) and have posted for the last few years on x/twitter selections (@chrisgartner2) of such handicap horses. Those horses that are highlighted in the email notebook tracker will have further detailed explanation as to why I feel that & also where I think they’ll be targeted next & hopefully win for us next. You also receive an email when those highlighted horses run.
You will also have a “weekend looker” ahead newsletter email (emailed every Saturday morning – think the “Morning Line” for those of us old enough to remember) which will contain certain trends on certain key races (handicap chases/hurdles & graded chases), stats, reviews of runners (with my comments/thoughts/musings etc) on the big (mainly graded, big handicaps, novice chases) races for weekend.
You will also get a weekly “week that was” report (every Wednesday morning) of a review of the previous week/weekend (primarily focussing on those horses who have new/adjusted handicap marks or indeed opening handicap marks etc). This information can then go directly into your personal trackers/notes/notebook or whatever system you choose to use to track horses.
