Interview snippets include “we think on genuine testing soft ground he’s got 10lb in hand”. “We’ve got a plan for him that revolve around the Coral Gold Cup”. “I’m hugely excited about riding him. I think he’s going to be top class over a fence. Whatever he did over hurdles he’ll be much better over fences”. “He’s got some boot. He could be an Aintree horse”. Find out which horses these trainers and jockeys are talking about by ordering a copy for less than a price of two coffees.
The book is over 40k words and over 80 pages of novice chasers to follow for next season. Somehow this will be the 5th edition of the book. The book seeks to identify those hurdlers from the season before who will make into successful winning chasers. Thankfully if we take the last two editions combined there’s been over 400 winning horses (217 last season) identified in both books.
Take last season’s book alone, it would have found you over 217 winners & that even includes a few horses like Tutti Quanti, Ma Shantou and Kabral Du Mathan who I thought would go over fences but did very well staying over hurdles.
If we look at the chasers who were highlighted in last season’s edition over 75% of the horses listed won at least one race over fences. In each edition I specifically highlight those novices (in italics in the book) who I think will make a big mark over fences. Looking back at last season’s book the following horses were marked as such:
Then you have the likes of Mr Hope Street, Steel Ally and many, many others who picked up decent pots who were in last season’s book.
This season’s book is again split into convenient geographical trainer focussed sections. For example: Henderson in South and Lambourn; Nicholls in South West; Skelton & Murphy in Midlands and so on. I have identified one horse for each yard to follow over fences next season.
Each horse is listed under their trainer in order and has name, sire, and mark. The key element of the book however is the reasoning behind each horse’s name.
Barlovento – (Soldier of Fortune) – 117 – I think this son of Solider of Fortune is better than he’s showed last season & like a lot of Olly’s therefore (likes of Booster Bob etc last season) he’s well handicaped over fences. I think his wind or something was holding him back last season. Hopefully they’ve sorted his wind out. Looks like he wants a trip and fence for this Whateley owned son of Solider of Fortune. Peter Nolan bought him as a store for 72k. I expect they’ll go over a mid range trip with him to start with. - Barlovento won twice last season over fences!
Mr Hope Street – (Jet Away) – 127 - This son of Jet Away is a typical horse of the yard. Get them handicaped oA just 97 and watch them improve close to 3 stone. Now oA a mark of 127 they’ll be hoping they can do the same with this big son of Jet Away over fences. Needs to prove that he’s better than a class 4 animal over fences however very much has the size for the job in hand. - Won the valuable Freebooter handicap chase at Aintree.
Mambonumberfive – (Born To Sea) – 133 – “As nice a horse as we’ve ever bought “ said Ben. A French bred juvenile by Born To Sea last season. Down field in the Aintree Anniversary he looked to me at Aintree a big backward raw horse who looks to have the size for fences in time. He’s massive and must be over 17 hands. Cost a whopping 450k for BLM Bloodstock (another Lynne Maclennan owned horse) in the Arqana sale last summer. Ben said last season that they weren’t going to rush him and that he “would be a future chasing star”. Ben thinks he’s classy and “made for a fence”. OA 133 he’ll need to be winning to go where they want to go with him - My novice chaser to follow and won three times last season!
So, there you have it. The book is a labour of love, and I start putting it together (researching pedigrees, form etc) in April of every year (so 6 months’ worth of work by time it’s ready for print).
Every edition so far has identified hundreds of winners over fences. Next season’s edition will be no different!

This is, and I can’t stress this enough, not just a “tipping service” or just a service that will simply send over a name of horse. My selections and extensive reasoning are sent daily in some cases but again it’s not just a “tipster” service that I run. If you’re just looking for a “tipping”/”boom” service I’m not it & there’s plenty of boom/fire merchants out there on likes of tick tock or X. I will get some right, I will get some wrong. Never, ever just a name or an evens shot. I never take or advise top prices ether. So if that all sounds good then get involved.
The first payment is £8 and it’s then £8 a month thereafter. I think the service offers fair value for £2 a week (which is half the price of the trade paper or less than two cups of your favourite coffee!)
Once you’ve made the payment of £8, I will add you to the members’ list and you’ll start receiving the emails.
The Summer Jumps Service is currently RUNNING AT OVER 115PTS SINCE MAY 1ST 2026

We’ve already had since 1st of May 90 winners including 25/1 winner at Cartmel in Imperial Data & Ebony Warrior who was flagged up as a gamble two days before and was advised at 16s & won at an SP of 3/1 at Worcester!. A 14/1 winner in Jeteye at Hexham, a 10/1 chance at Perth and a 8/1 shot at Kelso (sent off 3/1!). One day over the summer the Summer Service went 2 from 2 at Plumpton.
